What kind of education is needed to be a foreign missionary doctor?

I always have been interested in the medical field and I am planning to be a missionary. I was wondering what kind of Education should I need if I were to help people out in public. In another way, what kind of education would you need to be a clinical doctor like when you get a checkup or when your sick with the flu.

You would need to go through medical school like any other doctor, which takes anywhere from 12-16 years depending on your specialty.
After you have your license to practice medicine, your best bet would be to check into working with an organization such as the Peace Corps or Doctors Without Borders.
Best of luck to you.

How will executive education change in the next 5-10 years?

Will office workers and executives of the future sit in classrooms to get their executive education? Will it be delivered through Second Life or another virtual world? What role will Web 2.0 Technologies play in executive education? Will we get our training through mobile phones? Will we train each other, through Wikis and similar technologies? If you are 20-25 years old now, or have experience of this, please let me know what you think about this. Thanks!

i think it will be alot more computer based
alot more of it will deal with other countries since we are gradually becoming more globalized
-it wont be thru cell phones or virtual world although those will still be developing
the best education will still come thru experienced teachers- the gadgets are just a plus

How does an education background check work?

I am up for a position and they are in the process of running different background checks on me. The one that concerns me is the Education background check.

I am exactly one class shy of earning the BS degree that I claimed on my CV. I walked during graduation and everything, but I never got the *incomplete* for that class cleared up and, hence, never completely fulfilled my graduation requirements.

In an education background check, do companies verify that you have the degree or just that you attended the university during the dates you claimed?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

An education verification typically will verify the highest level of degree obtained. If you did not actually graduate, then it will be reported as such. Many colleges and universities have chosen to outsource their verifications to a third party, so the background screening company usually does not even talk to the school to find any additional information. I would suggest clearing this up. As a follow up, there are fewer companies that verify education backgrounds then criminal backgrounds.

How can a course in education impact your impression as you enter a career in education?

"In your opinion how would a course in education impact your impression of what to expect personally and professionally as one enter a career in Education?

I am a sophomore and currently taking two courses related to my major (middle grades edu) So far they have been helpful. One is about diversity in the classroom, which will be helpful because America is a melting pot and there will be kids from all types of cultures and ethnicity’s in my class in the future and this is preparing me to deal with them. and the other is about teacher etiquette. Of course that will be helpful for obvious reasons, there are a million things that are inappropriate to do or say around children, somethings that you would not even think. So in conclusion these courses are great.

How would you make Driver Education classes more interesting?

I teach driver education and I want to know if you had a favorite part of driver Education. Do you remember anything in particular that you really liked, or really disliked?

If you was teaching driver education, what would you do to keep the students attention?

Well I am 16 and just recently got my lisence. My favorite part of driver’s ed, was when our teacher brought in beer goggles. He made us wear them and do different tasks such as walking a straight line, catching a tennis ball, pouring water into a cup, etc. It was really fun and interesting, yet still got the point across of how drinking will affect driving.

What type education you need to become a interpreter?

What type Education you need to become a interpreter? And What Universitys in California is there to get that education?

I have friends who work as interpreters in Europe. They did their undergraduate degrees in the foreign language they want to work with, while taking a few Linguistics courses as their electives. Then, they did Master’s degrees in Translating. This isn’t my area of interest, and I don’t know of any North American universities that offer graduate programs in Translating.

How is education in Canada unique to the education system United States has?

I need to know teaching methods, their expectations, ethnic diversity and social class that has been proven to work and benefit those students of Canada, and that might help the United States improve their Education system.

me being Canadian as well, i think our own system is the better, we learn bilingualism, where yanks don’t… and we learn American history…. while I don’t think most yanks learn squat about us

What is the best education model for a child today and where can I find it in the world?

There are several options for a child’s education in today’s world. There are variations in curriculum, teaching methodologies, cultural values, goals of education. There are novel options available today such as unschooling and home schooling that were not as common earlier. What then is an ideal Educational system for a child from school through undergraduate and graduation? Where is the best education system available in the world for each of these levels?

Globally Denmark is considered to have the best public education system.

It spends the most on education per member of the population.

If you visit the websites of Danish schools you get a strong feeling of an ordered and caring system.

Other Scandinavian countries also have a good reputation especially Finland.

As far as methodologies go, there are supporters and detractors for every system, so you cannot really compare.

Question for socialists only: How much education should citizens get for free?

Question for socialists only: How much Education should citizens get for free? I can’t find the data, but I know I saw a chart showing how countries with low education are very poor and countries with lots of education are much better off financially. So it stands to logic if a country were to give every citizen a free PhD quality education it’s per capita income would be highest in the world. Would you support this? Why or why not?

to the person who said conservatives want to support welfare, uh, no they don’t
