I am dieting and cutting back on meal portions, calories and fats but it feels like I am always hungry. So now I am trying to think of a type of food that is filling and can accompany my diet meals. I already tried Shirataki Noodles(no fat/no calories) but that was not filling. So what type of food should I eat with my diet food that is low in fat and filling at the same time?? I am trying to diet without feeling like I am hungry all the time.
Well I would suggest that you leave the diet food alone and eat strictly natural foods avoiding salt and sugar(foods that are high in salt and sugars. Also, avoid ketchup, milk(take a calcium and vit d supplument).
For a satisfying fufilling diet, I would suggest that you load up on the following foods to diet:
Salads:
Make salads with tomato, car rot, beetroot, cabbage, capsicum, lettuce, or cucumber all low in calories-your diet staple, to liven them up, you can use curd or lemon as a salad dressing. Sandwiches too, are a goods way to have these raw vegetables. The bread helps fill you up, but don’t use butter-spread a coriander-and-mint chutney instead would do good.
Veggies:
Green beans, cabbage, broccoli
Fruits:
Grapefuit is good for dieting. I would also recommend apples too (at least one a day)
Starches:
***Brown Rice
***Potatoes *PLAIN potatoes that are boiled or baked* When baked or boiled it must not be eaten without fatty accompaniments. Potatoes are great for your diet. If you desire flavor, have them mashed, adding pepper and a dash of lime. Potatoes contain only 97 calories.
***Sweet potatoes when boiled have a naturally rich taste and creamy texture. They have 120 calories more than potatoes – but they’re delicious even without accompaniments. And although they belong to a different botanical family, calorie they’re just as nutritious as regular potatoes.
High fiber cereal:
By providing bulk, some cereal-based foods, too, fill you up on relatively few calories. They include chapattis, roasted corn on the cob, dhokla or idlis, and white rice upmas. Other breakfast choices could be oats, poha, or rice wheat-or- corn-flakes low in sugar’. Pour skim milk on the flakes. If you prefer them sweet, add chopped fruit.
Drinks:
Hot -Green Tea (either no sweetener or very little)

as long as you’re not breastfeeding detoxing right after you have baby should be fine. my mom always said that she just drank a lot of water, and did a lot of walking after having her kids. (my mom has 6 kids)

If you are exercising 1 hour running a day, 1 hour pilates a day and dieting- fruit for breakfast, small salad for lunch and steak and veg (or something of the meat & veg sort) will it effect the baby in the first 5 weeks before knowing that youre pregnant? Could it cause an early miscarriage?
the rule of thumb for exercising is if you were doing it before you were pregnant, you can continue. but don’t start a new regimen after you become pregnant. as for Dieting, i would discuss it with your OB dr.

I am a 27yr old female with 2 children ages 3 and 1…..does anyone have any dieting suggestions that actually work? I am needing eating ideas that would work well with me and my family, as well as activities I can do with my children?
I try to walk about 5 miles a day. I really need to lose between 20-25 pounds to be at a healthy weight.
Don’t think of it as Dieting first off. Think of it as a lifestyle change because if you want to get the weight off and keep it off you have to be willing to change forever. I found that cutting my fat down to 35 grams a day and calories to about 1500-1600 has made a big difference. Once you hit your goal weight bump it back up to between 60-65 grams of fat and your calories between 2000-2500 depending on how active you are. Also being very active has helped too. Activities you could do with the kids would be to go for walks to the park or go swimming since summer is almost here. Get out and run with them. Also I joined the Y and go work out whenever I can. Luckily my family is very supportive and I have lots of people offering to babysit and I manage to go 5 days a week. In less that 3 months I have lost 30lbs and I feel great. When you make meals try to have a main course, fruit and veggies with very little to no butter. IF I need butter I use a light margarine and only use like a teaspoon. Cut back on your salt also and drink TONS of water to help you stay full and hydrated. Avoid sugary drinks as much as possible. One cup of 100% fruit juice a day would be fine but try to avoid soda. I do drink a regular one every now and then but if I really need the caffeine I try to go diet. Good luck and I hope you reach your goals.

I am a freshman in high school and I have a 4 pack. I do ab workouts everyday and lift weights. If I move the fat away from the bottom of my stomach I can clearly see a 6 pack. It will take a very LONG time compared to an alternative. I know this doesn’t answer your question but i really suggest starving yourself is a bad idea…..Try working out i think it takes as long as dieting but its healthier and makes you stronger at the same time ;D.
A friend of mine has been Dieting for a year now and we haven’t seen her eat any carbohydrates for breakfast or lunch since then.
Two weeks ago, she drew a mark on to her arm (with a pen, not that important) and the mark still hasn’t vanished yet. Her skin looks very pale and unhealthy.
She’s very touchy about the subject of weight.

She is likely to be admitted to hospital if this goes on. Most of us would want to avoid such an eventuality if we could. The problem is, while you see someone ill and scrawny, she sees someone quite plump when she looks in the mirror and she can’t understand why you’re fussing so much. Perhaps you need to lure someone in the medical profession to see her if she is not willing to seek advice herself.
I once worked with a male suffering from this disorder (it’s mainly females) and he looked like a little old man, although he was middle aged. As soon as he reached 50, he was made to retire early on medical grounds.

There are loads of great exercise tapes that you can find on amazon and other websites. If I were you I would get one with a hot topless male showing you the exercises!!! Exercising is the best way to lose weight, because you can choose where you lose it from!
Don’t bother with a diet, jut try to cut out snacking or get some healthier meals!
im trying to loose 20-25 pounds. i work out and everything but when it comes to Dieting, it just doesnt happen. and it doesnt help that my family buys really unhealthy food. i mean id love to eat healthy what should i do?
it is impossible to loose weight without a diet that is a fact. However by diet i do not think about those unhealthy pills or too less food or eat only vegetables etc. All you need to do is eat healthy and have at least 4 meals a day. You should be having 5-6 but 4 is also good. And a tip: If you eat slowly you usually eat less food cause you stop being hungry much sooner. Don’t rush and eat fast. Eat a lot of vegetables and fruit. When it comes to meat i suggest meat that is not specially prepared. I Suggest white meat from the chicken and turkey. Also if you eat too less food you won’t loose weight but you WILL feel tired. If you already workout this shouldn’t be a problem. Oh and also… you MUST eat breakfast. Good luck even though i don’t really think you’ll need it. If you start eating healthy you’ll see results in a week.
